Spooky Times is a children’s educational entertainment app that is meant to teach kids around the ages of 8-9 about multiplication. The app embraces the idea that math is scary, but with a cuter and more fun twist. The main story of the app is that the player inherited their Grandma Hattie’s old mansion and they find out that it is infested with mean ghosts. With the help of Boogie, the player utilizes a vacuum that is able to suck up the ghosts if the player answers their multiplication problem on their tummy correctly. Throughout the game, the player earns Ghost Bucks that are used to renovate the mansion, as well as unlocking new rooms to explore. A physical playset is available to get kids off the screen. This playset includes a plastic doll house, figurines, vacuum to store the figurines, and flash cards. The figurines are meant to allow the child to physically count out the problems. While the flashcards offer different situations that involve different areas of the mansion that the child can solve while on the go.
